Dear Kappa Sisters,

Since its beginning, the Gamma Nu chapter has been an important and integral part of the University of Arkansas community, an outstanding chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity, and has served as a home base for more than 2,800 initiated members. Gamma Nu has enjoyed a long-standing tradition of leadership and excellence.

The chapter house has gone through many changes over the years. Our last expansion and renovation occurred in 1965, giving us the address of 800 West Maple. That house was built to accommodate 75 women. Over 40 years later, the very same house serves an active chapter of more than 300. For all of these sisters, Gamma Nu is their “family” away from home. Despite the pride we take in the ever-increasing membership of accomplished young women, this growth has strained the chapter house to a point where the facilities must grow to accommodate a new future.

In the pages that follow, you will see the challenges and plans for the beginning of the next 85 years at Gamma Nu. I, like many of you, have been shaped by Kappa memories, friendships, and opportunities. The entire Gamma Nu House Board joins me in wanting to extend an opportunity to be a part of OUR LEGACY, OUR FUTURE Capital Campaign.

Please take the opportunity to review this website and consider carefully how you can financially support a forward thinking, bright future for our chapter. As Kappa alumnae stepped forward in the 1960s to provide us with the house that we needed, it is now time to join our Kappa sisters to provide for the next generation of Gamma Nus. Your generosity will help to ensure that future generations of young women will be able to experience the sisterhood, memories and enriching college experience that is so treasured by each of us.
